My new 5100

Hahaha!!! My day sucked.. As usual, wasn't able to get any couples up on a Saturday. Damn it!! But dad made it up for me. He got me my most-wanted phone. Nokia 5100, Made for adreneline. Became happy after seeing that box. Didn't expect him to get that for me, coz i know it would cost him alot. I know he works hard, in order to give his children a comfortable living. Even without a new phone, i would still be happy and contented with my durable, yet old 3310. The phone may not have its value at the moment, but it does have a sentimental value to me though. I love my 3310.

I kinda like a new collegue, coz she's such a joker. Queenie was her name. "Daddy" was telling her how we talked to each other every night. And because she didn't know "daddy" and i were like as close as friends, she went to the extent of thinking that i would bear him children in the future. That happened in the lift while going up. Haha!! "Daddy" looked at me in a weird way, and he joking said that he'll block me from MSN tonight, once he's online. Hahaha!!! So funny... Queenie was running away from him when he said tonight he'll bring her to Hotel 81. She's damn cute. By the way, she's from Hong Kong, but studying over here.

Hey, just let you people out there know that, my supervisors sometimes crack jokes about a night at Hotel 81, if not at Mariott. Haha!! My "daddy" would say a night in his room.. Like whatever... Anyhow, i can't wait for him to get his bike. Coz he promised to take me for a spin, some more the first passenger. Haha.... I'm waiting...

I'm 18!

Yep! It's my day once again. Spent my birthday at work. How saddening was that? And so i worked and also to try to get that one for the day. Was kinda lucky to get one up to the reception, but they walked off because they were not able to wait any longer. *Sighs* Anyhow, the woman was already a little impatient upon waiting. So might as well let them go. Besides, when i went back down, Dino said that line was closed. Damn! Sat around and talked with my collegues.

I received a call from boss, and he asked me to go up to the office. Thought he had a surprise celebration for me, coz suddenly everyone disappeared. So, i went up and waited and waited for him to be free. See, how patient i was.. And so, he went to the office, handed me this big plastic bag with my present inside. He told me to go look at what he got me when line was still close, and bring it back to him when open. Hey, he could have given me the stuff after work right? I mean, it's a bit of hassle for me to go up and down, passing him the thing, right? Haiz... Anyway, i liked what he gave me, maybe because i was the one who asked for it? It's a Me to You, Tatty Teddy. You may think it's a small one for display, but it's a huggable size bear. So sweet and nice.. My collegues liked it too. The bear might have cost him alot. But i would still appreciate whatever he could have gotten for me. Thanx, Naresh "daddy"!

Dear Danielle got me a lighter. Told her that i like lighters, and she bought me one. It's just an ordinary, simple lighter but it has words on it. Hey, it doesn't mean that i smoke if i carry a lighter with me, okie? Why does everyone think that, you are a smoker if you have a lighter on hand? I know my limits, and i won't go to the extreme of smoking. Although at times i, myself would feel like taking a puff, but NO! I'm clear of what i do. A collegue of mine borrowed my lighter for a smoke, and it didn't come back. See! He's a smoker, but doesn't have a lighter with him. What a failure at smoking... Haha!!!

Anyhow, i blew off another 18 candles tonight, with my family. Received money from grand-parents, so i'm kinda loaded now. Haha! Got to buy new shoes, new socks, new tops. Actually i promise to give Daphne (my junior) a treat when i get my first thousand. But guess i'm aiming a bit far. Perhaps i'd be contented with just $500. It's more than enough to treat one person.

Argh!! Haven't get any for the past two days!! This suck totally!! I want ups, Qs, CTs!! I want money!!!

Last birthday dinner with Uncle's family

Counting down: 2 days more to my 18th birthday.

After church, went off with uncle and family for lunch at nearby malay coffee shop. Cousin went for chinese classes, and the rest of us headed home to rest. Played with little cousin till he went to nap. He's damn cute and just would make you laugh all the time. Didn't do anything productive in the afternoon, except playing half-life training with cousin.

At about 1840, we left the house and headed for Parkway Parade. Jack's Place was where we had dinner. Yumyum... I can't remember when was the last time i ate at Jack's. Bet it must have been a very long time ago. Hmm... Sat down and started flipping through the menu to see what looked good. And so, i decided on Fillet Mignon, and that is beef steak with bacon round it.
Appetizer was served, and all of us shared it. Then the waiter brought in a 6-piece fried chicken, and i took 2 of it. And finally, my sizzling steak arrived. Yum!! I dug in immediately, but i didn't quite finish it. Haha!! Ate only half of the potato, and left a small piece of steak on my plate. Guessed my tummy stretched to its maximum already, and i had not taken the birthday cake! After settling the bill, we went walking at Harvey Norman. He was looking for a portable air-con. For what purpose, that i do not know. He told my auntie to go buy cake and lighter first, coz he suggested to go East Coast Park to have the cake.

At the park, i could hear the sound of the waves. Plus, it was a very starry night and the moon was round and bright. It was so wonderful then. Lighted the candles on the cake, sang song, blew candles, made wish, took pictures, cut cake, and finally ate it. That was dessert, and i was damn full after that. Little cousin was running here and there so happily, and i was chasing after him here and there. He's such a cute little fella, who doesn't fail to make me laugh. At times he might pinch or pull my hair, but i still love him. My uncle and auntie told my cousins that, till now i'm still the most obedient grand-daughter of the family. They said that i was cute since when i was young, and they used to bring me out. No one in the family has been bias towards me, except for my grand-dad. Besides him, everyone in the family dotes on me. I told uncle and auntie that, i would get some cash from grand-dad if only he sees a cake on my birthday. Sigh...

This is the last dinner treat i got from my uncle. I won't get this anymore from next year onwards. Why? They'll be leaving for Australia when the year ends. i'm already tearing while typing.. They've seen me grow up, ever since i was born. The relationship i formed with them has always been there. I'd not only miss them, but also the good food my uncle and auntie whips up. Bet the person i'd miss the most would be my little cousin. He's just too irresistable to not play with. I'm the eldest, and he's the youngest. It feels kinda great to have a cousin who is 16 years younger than you are. Uncle was telling me how to travel to Australia alone to visit them during my holidays. He told me to study hard in poly and perhaps in future, i may be able to further my studies over in Australia.

I really do not wish to see them leave. I want them around. I love them all. But there's nothing i could do to change the plans they have. But if i plan to go visit them every semester break, i would have to work for my air fare. hmm... Stay on as and OPC? Although they won't be around to celebrate my birthday physically, my aunt says she'll mail presents over to Singapore for me.

I'll always keep them in my heart, even when they're not around.
