Quiet CNY

It's the festive season once again. New Year's eve started on a not very high note, coz Grandfather and Big Uncle were shouting over dinner table over money matters. What an unpeaceful reunion dinner i had. Anyway, it was a quiet reunion without little Delfie and two other cousins making noises in the house. Still, having 4 other children around, it was darn noisy. Calling one another stupid, and throwing tantrums when losing at PS2 game, these are just so common among children. I think, i slept quite early compared to the past years.

Day 1
Nothing much happened actually. Neighbours and relatives came. Children of my Granddad's nephew came, and added to the number of children at home. Made noise and more noise. Received red packets, and this time round was special, coz this was the first time one of my granddad's newlywed newphew gave angpao. Big Uncle wanted to give him a red packet, cuz they were so used to giving him every year because he was not married then. That made everyone had a good laugh. Then in the afternoon, went all the way to Commonwealth area to do visitation to Granddad's elder brother. Ate and ate again. CNY's really just non-stop eating and eating. Home after that, and rested till evening. Had early dinner coz dad wanted to take Marlon to River AngBao. And so, we went on public transport. Walked the River AngBao, saw dragon dance, and Marlon got to see some traditional chinese art. Yupz.. That's my day..

Day 2
Woke up close to 12noon. Haha!! There's only me and my sis in the house besides my parents, coz my brother went to our cousins house to stay over. Picked 2 of my sister's former classmates up from our place to their former teacher's place at Ang Mo Kio. Quite a long journey form Tampines, especially my dad who drove through neighbourhoods. From AMK, dad, mum and i headed to mum's auntie's place. Mum's auntie and cousin was asking where were the other two, coz usually we went together on the 2nd day of CNY. Anyway, i still had to take AngBaos for my sis n brother. Last year when we went over for visitation, i remembered seeing two distant cousins whom i have not seen for a long long time. It's no different this year, coz i saw another two whom i have yet met with for a longer time. Funny thing was that, my mum thought since when auntie had 2 sons, but did not realise that the one with spiky hair was the daughter. Like OMG!! Everyone present got a shock of their lives. Mum says she's the same age as me. Her brother's quite good-looking, i think. Haha!!

Done visitation, then went to Tampines Mall to walk around. Most of the shops were not open, but Giodarno had a sale. Dad and i bought linen pants at $19each. Walked passed Bossini and mum saw this basketball-like top and said was nice. This orange sleeved top caught my eye, and mum asked me to try both of it. She said i looked good in the sleeveless white top, but the sales lady told me to try a blue one. She said it looked nicer than the white one. Anyway, i bought the orange, sleeved one instead. I would consider buying the sleeveless one, probably after CNY. My mum just told me something, and that is, she does not mind me dressing up rugged, as long as i don't do the extreme like that distant cousin of mine. Haha... I love my orange top!!

I think i'm mad.. I'm listening to a Christmas CD(belonging to Marlon) on CNY...*LAUGHSLAUGHS*
